Some exciting things are happening in our community. I've accepted a contract position with the Yahoo! Contributor Network and will be working as Community Advocate. 
I'm still a community member but will have the opportunity to serve the community in a new way. I will be your go-to person when it comes to what the community wants and will serve as your voice when presenting ideas and concerns to staff members.
Things to know:
--I'll be taking over the initial responses in the Help Desk forum but will ensure that all threads that need a response from Y! Jelena or Y! Darnell receive it.
--You can reach out to me about anything that you're thinking and feeling and I will make sure staff knows what's important to our community.
--For those who've connected with YCN Peer Mentors and other Facebook groups, I'll continue to participate in those that welcome my participation as Community Advocate, but I won't act as admin.
--I will continue to publish in this new role--blog posts, contributor tutorials, and more--though the new gig means that I'm not eligible for Up-Front Payments and Performance Payments.
I'm here to amplify YOUR voice!
I am very excited about this opportunity, and I look forward to helping the Yahoo! Contributor Network community thrive. If I've already had the opportunity to get to know you during my three years as a contributor and active community member, I'm excited to continue working with you and alongside you. I wish YCN would create a front page that list all the recent articles so readers can go there and see which topics and authors they want to read.
