R. J. Baker

A flatlander, RJ was born in Newton Iowa, has lived in Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. A Viet Nam era Vet, he enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Has careers in insurance agecy management and sales, commercial real estate and economic development. RJ has been writing since grade school, his first story, read to his 5fth grade class was The Legend of the White Buffalo. A journal kept during three years in the Army has been the source of a memoir written for his family. RJ's writing experience includes a humor column for the Olathe Daily News, Olathe Kansas and commentary on the NPR station in Garden City Kansas.
