Hi there! I'm Delany, aka "ThatWordChick". I've always been in love with the written word, devouring books whole from a very young age. I enjoy quirky humor, a la Dave Barry, and have been known to pen odd haiku odes to breakfast cereals and skee ball and wrestling with strange genres like 55 Fiction to challenge my brain.
Creatively, I like to think of myself as the oil-streak-faced mechanic in the belly of a starship, frantically welding things together with solder made from chewing gum and pen caps in a last ditch effort to save an intergalactic mission. I find this more motivating than deadlines on a calendar, and heck...half the fun of being a writer is being slightly unhinged from reality, in my opinion.
I can and will write about almost anything, with a portfolio that spans from adult novelties (my niche, actually - long, weird story about how THAT happened) to wine bottle gift baskets. My work has been in some D-list magazines, a handful of major retail sites, catalogs and here and there around the internet.
