I can picture myself in an old farmhouse sitting on the hurricane-scrubbed landscape of the Mississippi delta, surrounded by books and that thick, muggy warmth of August afternoons. There would be a screened-in porch and a swing. And there would almost positively be a fan swirling above, hopefully creating a breeze of some sort. A glass of sweet tea on the table, with a wedge of lemon floating somewhere in the middle of the sugary, watered-down concoction. Music, the sounds of nature, and some wonderfully creative bits of sentences and thoughts would churn through the heavy air and settle like dust on the pencils, notebooks, papers, books that would litter a huge table/desk on this porch looking out over a lushly green pasture or a thick density of trees. Until then, I'll read, write, and nap under trees in Central Park...
