Denise Petty
Denise Petty is a retired Private Investigator born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska where she owned and operated her investigative firm, DCRI, LLC. Her investigative services and specialties included Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation and Worker's Compensation fraud as well as occasional private-party and missing persons' cases. Denise has worked within multiple capacities within the legal field before she became a Private Investigator including serving as a Deputy Clerk for a US Magistrate Judge, a civil litigation, collections and criminal defense Paralegal, and performing an internship at the Fairbanks District Attorney's Office.
Denise's educational background includes an AAS in Paralegal Studies (Cum Laude) from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Additionally, she has received her Master Detective Certification from an accredited post-secondary education program.
Denise has been very active within the investigative community. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Innocence Project, been a member of the UAF Paralegal Program Advisory committee, has served on the Alaska Investigator's Association Board of directors for two consecutive terms, and performed numerous speaking engagements relating to a variety of legal topics. Additionally, she has held memberships within multiple Investigation-related professional associations nationwide and acts as a group moderator on two professional list serves.
One of the more interesting commitments Denise has undertaken in the past is as an on-camera Investigative Consultant on Discovery ID Channels' " UFO Hunters". Her role as part of the NY SPI team was to interview parties who had made claims regarding first-hand experiences with UFO's and other related Phenomenon.
