I began my photography, and shortly thereafter my writing, career in Mexico City in and/or around 1969 as a stringer for Newsweek, the New York Times, AP, and on staff for several Latin American publications. During the ten years I lived in the Mexican capital, I traveled extensively throughout the region and, for a year or so, photographed for the president of Mexico at the beginning of his term. In 1976, I moved to San Francisco where I developed my travel photography career for seventeen years, specializing in Asia and the Pacific. I garnered lots of exposure and experience during my 17 years in that beautiful city and then moved on to Boise, Idaho, where I live now and continue to photograph and write.
