Joy Foster

Joy is a former Cook County Commissioner, college educator,
business owner and performing artist. Now retired, she writes, performs music and storytelling programs and hosts a television and podcast show. With a deep love for writing and storytelling, she credits her writing skills as one of the primary keys to her success. Joy has written national stories for a Fortune 500 Company, drafted and co-sponsored Illinois legislation which became Illinois law, edited a medical book for Howard University Medical School, served as a Grant Writer, created brochures and other public-relations material for state and county government, private corporations, hospitals and not-for-profit organizations. Addtionally, she has produced two local television shows, written and performed original stories of great Americans, and currently produces and hosts "Inspiration With Sista' Joy" on You Tube and Ustreamtv.
