Born in Bakersfield, California in 1948, my family and I, moved to Oregon where my Dad worked and built a house. A new job for him with better pay led us back to California. I stayed as an adult - working, marrying & having my children. I was a proud member of the California Army National Guard Reserves for over 20 years and I spent almost 7 years active Army in one form or another and I served in the 1st Desert Storm - I loved those years and they have many special memories for me. To sum those years up - the great, the bad and the Oh God did I really live through that years.

Between being a mom of two and a Grandmother of 5, I like the Grandmother role the best - all you moms out there it will get it easy eventually and all you Grandmothers that are raising your grandchildren - there is a light at the end of the tunnel and I'm holding it for you. I have been a small business owner, a jack of all trades and a specialist in a few, a teamster and a scab driver. I've been kicked in the teeth more than once, you just pick them up and keep on going. Never let life get you done to the point where you can't get back up again. Life like that wouldn't be worth living.

I've been hurt and caused hurt. I've been loved and given love. I have helped and been helped. I have dreamed of hitting it big and haven't. I am basically a home grown person, a person who believes men can be friends without having to sleep with them. I believe women can get along even if they are both in the kitchen together. I also believe children are basically good and society and not just the parents dictate how they turn out. Sometimes it is not a matter of blood lines but of the social experience that helps or hinders our youth. I love animals and hate it when they are mistreated and abused. I know what I think should be done to the abuser. But, our legal system more geared to the abuser than to the victim. We, as a society still have a lot of growing to do.
