I'm a 45-year old father of three, happily married for going on 13 years. After spending four years on active duty in the U.S. Army and an additional six years in the U.S. Army Reserves, I stumbled into the journalism profession with zero experience, starting as a sports clerk at the Dayton Daily News in 1989. Since, I've worked for several different papers ranging from my current paper the Urbana Daily Citizen, to the Columbus Dispatch. I love every aspect of journalism, with most of my experience coming in sports. But I do have extensive experience in hard news, features, and even photography.
