I'm a 45 year old married mother of three---two boys, ages 16 and 13, and a girl, 6. I (mostly) love being a mother, and my children have led me to many new interests and concerns---education, childrens' media, health issues such as asthma, special needs parenting (my daughter is autistic), thrifty living (we've lived on mostly one income since my older son was born, and believe me, it's caused a need for thrift!), family travel and so many more fun and not so fun parenting topics. I try to find time for my own hobbies---avid reading, Scrabble and other word games and (unskillful) knitting!
