J.S. Anand
JS Anand began his writing career at the age of 16, nearly thirty years ago, when he published his first fanzine. He earned his Masters in English in 1998. His thesis was the first screenplay accepted at the University of South Dakota. In 2005, he became Iowa's first podcaster, launching the acclaimed Lance and Graal Pagan Podcast, followed by Radio Green Siouxland, an ambitious project aimed at promoting local musical talent.
Anand taught English and Art for twelve years, serving as his school district's media relations coordinator for a period of three years. He currently works as a freelance journalist and technical translator.
Anand has written extensively in a variety of topics, including social satire, paganism, mental health and substance abuse.
He has published a play in verse, "Baldur's Death" and an anthology of horror fiction, "Bedtime Stories for the Faint of Heart," excerpts of which can be found on Associated Content.
Anand recently became involved in videography, and his satirical short film "The Moon Hoax" is available for free viewing on this website.
