I worked at various jobs until my mid 30's when having only a high school education, I returned to school. I attended Lansing Community College in Michigan and became a data processor. After working for the college for a short time, I worked for the State of Michigan. Moving from one job to another in the 60's kept getting me promoted and I wound up with the State of Michigan as my employer where I stayed for 15 years. A friend tempted me to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where I worked for county government. I retired in 1992 and have lived in Central Florida, in Sparks, NV, and now back in Shepherd, MI, a small town in the northern center of the state. I have six children, eight grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. The wife and I spend some 8 or 9 months on a small piece of land here in Michigan and 2 or 3 months in a condo apartment in Destin, FL. The remaining time is spent travelling.
