Jon K. Uhler, M.S., founder of www.SolidAdvise.com, obtained a Masters degree in Marriage & Family Counseling at California State University,
Fullerton (1992). During his graduate work, he conducted unique research into the family dynamics of compulsive and/or emotional overeaters. His undergraduate degree is from Biola University (1988), in La Mirada, CA
Jon's professional experience spans more than 20 years working as a clinical therapist with individuals, couples, and families, in hospital, residential treatment, and outpatient settings. He has over 10 years experience working with adjudicated adolescents and seriously emotionally-troubled teens; as well as with seriously emotionally-disturbed adult prisoners within a maximum security setting. Additionally, he has extensive experience working with Dissociative Identity Disorder and other effects of serious and long-term childhood abuse. He presently serves as an adjunct faculty member for a Christian college for adults completing their undergraduate degree in Human Services.
