Basia Kalin

Basia Kalin

I've covered an entire Jethro Tull album on a dare, joined a Klezmer group and learned, to a degree, Yiddish so I could sing AND play piccolo in the band and founded an orchestra and concert band. I survived - with most of my brain cells, a disco band. I have been a very busy mad piccolo player. I play at churches, wedding, receptions, bars, wherever I can whip out the flute or piccolo (or, on occasion, the viola) BUT I have other interests besides being the center of attention on the band stand.

To each her own, but that doesn't float my boat so, off to France or Iran or Ireland or -- for my movie fixes. I've even got my aged moms watching them.
.
Add to the above my eclectic taste in books. I must be on the FBI and CIA lists if only for all the books I checked out from the library on serial murderers. You see, I find the human mind fascinating. I am not as interested in the "what" of murders but the "why" '" why did this fellow or that become such a beast?
