Douglas Whitehead

Douglas Whitehead graduated from the U of NY Excelsior College cum laude with a BS in Liberal Arts and a focus in Business. He completed a 25 year highly mobile career in the U.S. Federal Government, which included the Department of Commerce Service Award 4 times and an honorable discharge from the U. S. Air Force. As a freelance writer he has authored family genealogies and other books in the nonfiction genre. He has traveled throughout North America and the Caribbean, and lived in: Fairbanks, Alaska; Key West, Florida; Beckley, West Virginia; Longview, Texas; Jackson, Mississippi, and in Michigan. His memberships have included the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the American Historical Association, and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
