JR Torrez

I was born and raised in Southern California. San Diego County is the place I called home for more than 27years. I am 43 years old and have been married for 17 years. I am married with 3 Children. Two older boys that are now 27 years old with families of there own and a my wife and daughter who is 9 years old that live with me in a rural part of Washington State.

My ethnic back ground is Hispanic in origin although I have the Hispanic culture in my blood; I grew up a normal American kid. Many of the family values of the Hispanic culture have been ingrained into my being but I have remained a true red blooded American enjoying the greatness of this country.

I have lived in several states and I have enjoyed every one of them. I have learned from the cultures that I have come in contact with though out many of my travels and being exposed to many different tribes of Native Americans such as the native tribes found in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, to the many different tribes found through out Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and all though out the Western United States. I have experienced the culture of the tribes of the Southeast in Florida and neighboring states and I have found something in all of them to cherish. In many of the areas in which I have lived time was taken to learn the most I could about the tribes there. I have taken the time to learn and educate my self in there beliefs and culture and in turn I have grown and incorporated some of there beliefs and ideas when ever possible into as much of my everyday life as I can.

My wife and daughter have had many opportunities to travel to other countries and experience the cultures there, all the while doing this together as a family. We have been to Canada many times as well as other countries such as Australia, Mexico and New Zealand. We have also traveled through out the Caribbean as well. As a family we will continue to travel a great deal while my daughter is still young.
