I have been an interior designer in the Athens, GA area for 25 years, but I am currently in the process of shifting my focus to creating a very elaborate, multi-media, interactive art exhibit which will feature my nature-based silk and watercolor art pieces. Throughout the exhibit, l encourage people to spend more time in nature which in turn will not only add serenity and peace to their lives, but will also make us all better stewards of our planet. Another focus of the exhibit is to raise awareness of the world-wide problem of litter and how it affects our most precious natural resources, our waterways.

The art of "Me'chanted" also features special messages and stories that invite us to look within ourselves for inspiration and truth. Product line for the exhibit will include wearable art, story books, journals, cards, music, and reproduction art pieces. My goal is to launch my first exhibit on September 7, 2011, my 50th birthday. The exhibit will travel to Butterfly Houses, Botanical Gardens, parks and exhibit halls across the country. At this point I am in the process of creating my proposal kit, a magical work of art in itself. I'll be sending the proposal out to event directors and to potential sponsors by the end of this summer.

I am extremely fortunate to live in rural Georgia in a beautiful old farmhouse on 100 acres with my sweet husband, Michael, funny dog, Jack, precious kitty, Budderbean, 7 hilarious chickens, a visiting semi-wild squirrel, Mickey, and a couple thousand magical honeybees.
