I'm a single mother to one beautiful daughter who just turned seven this April. I am a Girl Scout leader and I also coach machine pitch Softball, and I love it!
I earned a double Associate's degree in December 2005 from Oklahoma City Community College in Mathematics and Chemistry. After which I began studying Chemical Engineering-Biotechnology and Biochemistry, at the University of Oklahoma part-time, and working an Environmental Engineering lab on campus. However, due to health reasons, I had to take a prolonged break from school, and have yet to finish my Bachelor's degrees.
While working towards my degrees I took classes in many very interesting things other than the basic humanities courses and classes needed for the my degrees. Some of the 100+ credit hours I completed consisted of multiple courses in Philosophy, Psychology, Architecture, Political Science/ Political Geography, as well as graduate courses in Physical Organic Chemistry and Nanotechnology. I feel that my background from all these classes gives me just enough insight and interest to write about a myriad of intriguing topics.
I've always been deeply interested in writing. I wrote for my high school newspaper, what seems like forever ago. I currently write poetry on a daily basis and am in the process of writing a book. I also just started freelance writing for blogs and as a technical writer. It's not easy, but it's been fun so far :)
