Janice Punzirudu

At 3 years old, I could have never imagined that I would be where I am today, mainly, living in South Carolina. I always had eyes for the big cities - New York, Boston, DC, Los Angeles. And now, I live my life in the beautiful suburb of Lexington, South Carolina. My Charleston style 5/4 with a door is filled with love and excitement. I receive my inspirations from my caring fiancé, our two baby girls (puppies), and just from living the American dream. At the ripe age of 7, I was convinced that I would follow in Johnny Cochran's footsteps (defending innocent people, of course :)). Oh, how our dreams change. I attended Florida State University, and I bleed garnet and gold. My four years of college were the defining years of my life (for now at least). It was a chance to grow up and learn from my own mistakes. I graduated with a degree in Mass Communications and I currently work for Publix Super Markets (eight years strong), as an assistant to the Regional Director. And that is how I ended up in South Carolina. I have learned so much from living on my own. Mom and dad are not around to fix the leak under the sink, get the sprinklers to work, change the headlights on my car, or to replace the mailbox. I never imagined at 23 I would own a house and have to deal with these issues. I knew the day would come when I would have to learn to do these things on my own, thank god there are knowledgeable people at the Home Depot down the road!
In addition to my new life in South Carolina, I am an avid chef (my fiancé thanks me everyday). I love to cook, bake, anything. I am a former cake decorator as well which comes in awful handy sometimes! Besides cooking as a hobby, I am a major DIY'er. I enjoy crafting and gardening. I'd have to say that life did not turn out as expected, it turned out much better.
