I'm a former Air Force brat who got used to traveling and change early in life because I had no choice. You either learned how to adapt to new places and people or you would perish.
Having lived in Japan, Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, France, Pakistan, and the good old USA, as a child and as an adult, I learned to respect the history, uniqueness and richness of different cultures. Hopefully, this shows up in my writing.
It's a wonderful world out there. What a shame that we don't take better care of it.
