Andrew Martin emerged upon the world in the late 1960s as a member of a classically-eccentric Jewish family from New York City with a decidedly-theatrical bent. Since that time, he has gone on to devote his life to the fields of entertainment and journalism, whether as an award-winning writer and musical theatre performer, a stand-up comedian, a film historian, or in broadcasting (supposedly, he has a great face for radio). He still lives in his native Rego Park section of Queens, apparently to pay some great karmic price for past sins.
