Brendan Praniewicz
I reside in San Diego with my wife and several pets (too many pets to keep track of). Growing up a military brat, I have had the opportunity to travel to various parts of the United States and foreign countries: 25 states and fifteen different countries. So far, San Diego is one of my favorite places in the world.
I teach as an adjunct instructor at various colleges from Grossmont and Mesa community college as well as Ashford University and the University of Phoenix. I teach composition, literature, flim, and technical writing.
In my free time I enjoy writing. I am currently working on a novel detailing the horrorific trials of foster care. In addition, I enjoy writing short stories and poetry; I am also into performing at open mic events. Furthermore, I have published several short stories and poems. My wife and I also have a humorous blog about our pets. I try to write everyday.
My wife works as a director of a nonprofit organization called Just in Time for Foster Youth. This program helps foster kids who age out of the system at 18 and have no place to go. So far, the program has become a big success, and they have helped hundreds of youth in San Diego. Recently my wife was accepted into a Masters program in nonprofit management at University of San Diego. Together we have enjoyed many achievements.
As a writer, I believe that one should experience and live life to its fullest. I have a wide variety of interests ranging from literature, nature, and sports. I believe that it is a writers job to figure out everything. While I have fallen far short of this goal, my chief objective as a writer is to constantly learn and listen to others.
