Lin Green
I am a writer, freelance editor and a member of the Brown County Writers Group in southwestern Ohio where I have lived for twenty years. I have previously lived in seven other states, including Virginia, where I was born, New Jersey, and Colorado and Arizona.
Currently I am working on a short story collection, one novel, and several medical articles that tie in with my part-time position as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at a local pharmacy.
I have written many humor pieces, a number of which have been published in several women's magazines.
I have also created a home business, LG Enterprises, under which name I offer services such as resume writing, direct sales letters, radio ad copy, brochures, speechwriting, and other business-related materials. I also contribute short medical pieces for local newspapers.
I have been married for twenty-five years and have six grown children and numerous grandchildren, some of whom have recently presented us with great-grandchildren, and enough material to provide a wealth of writing subjects.
I fully believe that the pen is mightier than the sword. Writers explain things, and I suppose there is in me the need to explain things, probably especially to myself, so I have always told myself I will be a writer when I grow up.
And I still want to be a writer when I grow up.
My greatest joy in my profession is to know that someone read something I wrote and said Aha, I get it now.
When I find spare time, I use it to paint, create beaded jewelery, or garden.
