My profile image of the river otter signifies my passion in the fight against the loss of wetlands and the destruction of ecosystems in the United States and worldwide. I have a BS in Industrial Management, Oracle Certified, Life, Health and Variable Annuity Licensed, and I earned my CFP in 1993. My first career culminated as the Sr. Regional Director for General Mills Restaurant Group running the SE USA. My second career was as a Series 7 securities professional for twenty years, specializing in the economy and analytical decision making for investments; my last five years I ran my own CFP practice. I retired early as a financial services professional to become an environmental activist focusing on laws, regulations, species declines and funding at both the federal and local level for ecosystem protection. In addition to writing on ecology issues, I also focus on government policy, mainly on fiscal and international issues.
