Jonathan Wagner

Jonathan Wagner is a sportswriter for the Yahoo Contributor Network, a contributor to SNYGiants and a credentialed writer for New York Sports Day, where he has covered the New York Knicks and Hofstra University Basketball since 2009 and the 2013 NASL-champion New York Cosmos.

He covered the Knicks, New York Giants, New York Mets and the 2014 Winter Olympics for Yahoo Sports and was named one of Yahoo’s Top 100 Contributors for 2013.

A New York City area native residing on Long Island, and a former sportswriter for the Queens Ledger, Jonathan was a 2012 semi-finalist in the WFAN (New York) Fantasy Phenom contest, as well as a writer and online radio show co-host with the New York Sports Geeks.

Jonathan is a graduate of Hofstra and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, where he attended on a full scholarship prior to hosting and producing his own weekly podcast covering Colonial Athletic Association basketball and football.

Following a self-imposed three-year boycott after Citi Field opened, Jonathan enjoys the ballpark now, but he will always miss Shea Stadium, where he attended hundreds of games and called live play-by-play of two Mets games, first with Ed Coleman, and again, with Joe Beningo, each of WFAN.
