Beth Pepoy
A native of Cleveland, Oh., Beth grew up with a love of sports and the arts. While in school she lettered in four sports and was active in drama club. As a member of an elite performance chorus in Northeast Ohio, she would discover opportunities that have provided experiences that would last a lifetime. Performing for, then Mayor George Voinovich to President Jimmy Carter, the NBA Allstar banquet dinner to what would be one of her bittersweet moments being in the halftime show of the 1980 AFC Championship game, The Cleveland Browns vs.The Oakland Raiders. The Raiders would go on to win the Superbowl. By her senior year she appeared in numerous fashion shows, prints ads and commercials. Eventually, choosing marriage and starting a family.
Upon leaving Cleveland via Columbus, Oh., in 1989 found her growing family in Baton Rouge, La. With a son and two daughters the greatest joys of her life now grown. Beth was looking for something to enjoy doing, after all the years of carpools, soccer and dance classes, on the advice of a highschool friend, she took up tennis. This would open up a diverse and vast network of new friends and colleagues into the Baton Rouge Community's Non-Profit organizations through fund raising and in helping with organizers of tennis tournaments. Combining her career and reachout programs Beth became a member of the Mayor's Financial Literacy Council, writing and teaching Financial Literacy to youths and adults. It was the writing of the programs that drew her start writing.
Beth still resides in Baton Rouge, and welcomes feedback and comments.
