Lindsay Anderson

I work for the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections as an IT Systems Analyst. Computers have always been my first love, and it is very rewarding to work in a field that I enjoy. Another area in which I have always excelled is writing. Poetry and eulogies (depressing, I know) are where I got my start, but I quickly learned that I also have a knack for story-telling. Fiction or fact, I am very good at expressing myself in writing. My upbringing was somewhat of a soap opera, and I can always find the humor in a situation -- thank goodness!

Some of my favorite things to do are spending time with my husband and four dogs, camping, swimming, or just spending the day relaxing at home. Crocheting is another hobby I have managed to turn into a mini career; this hobby also comes in handy for the many birthday parties and baby showers I attend each year. I find it very therapeutic. Another type of therapy is just sitting down at my piano and losing myself to the music '" very relaxing.

In my spare time (yeah, right), I volunteer at the public library helping people learn basic computer skills. Glamorous, I know, but it's a way for me to give back. My life is incredibly blessed and I firmly believe that 'Ëœbread thrown onto the water will come back to you.' No matter what you do in life, you should make time to help others. Whether you contribute money, time or skills '" do what you can with what you have and I promise it will enhance your life.
