Darren P. Etlinger--the Artist | MBA

Often referred to as a modern day Renaissance man by his clients, Darren is owner of Houston "HONEY DO", a Houston, TX base premium home repair service. Additionally, he is a sculptor and maker of functional metal art and furnishings. For this purpose, he also operates Earthtones by d.p.Etlinger, his venue for creative expression. Darren holds and MBA in management form Our Lady of the Lake University; a BBA in Business from University of Houston-Victoria; and an Associate of Arts and Science from The Victoria College. Darren spent the majority of his corporate-world work experience in small to medium sized industrial-application manufacturing companies in various roles, including: LEAN manufacturing implementation, project coordination and management, purchasing and inventory management, manufacturing and assembly, engineering, and product design. Additionally, he has experience in the insurance and financial service industry as well as retail. Throughout the majority of the past 10 year, Darren has focused on building his small businesses, developing his personal and business brands and increasing the value of his offerings to his clientele--which is an ongoing effort. He writes about an assortment of topics which match his interests, skills and abilities--primarily small business and personal finance, relationships, and observations in historical context. Darren has found that he as a unique ability in interpreting information and finding connections--linkages--observations between or about culture, our history, and why things seem to be the way-they-are and he excels in his ability to articulate his interpretation in written form.
