Owen Ward
If there's one thing Owen Ward likes, it is to cause trouble.
Owen studied at the University of Southern California where he received a BA in Broadcast Journalism and Minor in Cinema-Television. From there he began a whirlwind tour through Hollywood working in talent agency, television production, and motion picture marketing at a major movie studio. Each of these positions gave him a unique opportunity to tell underdog stories and explore the nooks and crannies of our world while meeting some of the most fascinating people there are to meet that you won't meet anywhere else. In each campaign and production he told stories that always raised an eyebrow about personal or societal norms, as he passionately feels it is not worth creating media that doesn't start a conversation.
Owen is now an independent writer and media producer, with his most recent short documentary "We Are WeHo" hitting the web at www.weareweho.com. In "We Are WeHo" we meet the people who live, work and play in West Hollywood, home to the world famous Sunset Strip and a key locale in the hotly contested Gay and Lesbian rights movement, all contained in the smallest city in California and the densest city west of the Mississippi. Owen is also serving as Director of Programming for the LA Greek Film Festival.
Owen is always excited to find more fascinating stories to tell and carve new creative and intellectual paths through discussion, and above all, controversy.
