Sampson Bekenabeshie Adah
When on august 24, some three decades ago, the curtains were drawn, the doors shut but the windows ajar to provide for some semblance of ventilation, only a few who were present in the rural neighbourhood knew that the birth of a new being was taking place. With momentary shrieks, I slipped into the waiting hands of a traditional midwife, whose skills are yet to be taught in the most ultra-modern schools of midwifery anywhere in the world.
So was I, B. A. Sampson, as some of my friends now identify me, born to my beloved parents (Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Bekeh) in the temperate Obudu prefecture of Cross River State, southern Nigeria.
Having acquired some university education and engaged in advanced training in theoretical research, practical writing and editing, management and wellness training/consulting, I currently utilise the internet to network in ways that can develop my intellect much further, create business opportunities for me as well as improve my socialisation skills in mutually beneficial and socio-culturally friendly ways.
I am naturally an amiable person. Some of my friends say, because my constellation is Virgo, I'm generous, intelligent and practical. Well, this is just a glimpse of their view. However, I cannot claim to be capable of assessing myself better than people perceive me; though I know it is possible.
Today, I can only wish and pray that the intersection of the paths of our lives bring joy to our hearts and wealth to our aspirations in accordance with our expectations.
The following principles, simple but truly strong, influence my life:
'¢ From the birth date of my cognitive self, my life began with the recognition that there is no stand-alone successful man. Providence, personal effort and networking slot people (the prepared minds) into their niches in life.
But then:
'¢ To do business with man, one must first understand man's capacity for good and his propensity to do evil.

Diplomacy in ModernityThe greatest single tool for global leaders to foster international harmony and cooperation is diplomacy. This is often impeded, however, by insidious political interests in diplomatic roundtables and playgrounds to the detriment of peaceful peoples.
