Amanda A. Ebokosia
Amanda A. Ebokosia is founder and CEO of The Gem Project, Inc. The Gem Project is a nonprofit organization that educates school-age children, youth, and young adults about the issues that affect them and their communities. The Gem Project has educated over 900 persons to date, with over 30 programs since its inception. Through the use of innovative programs and enriching activities, the Gem Project is able to hone and strengthen the leadership and community organizing skills of our youth. Ebokosia founded the organization at age 19. She has plans to expand this organization with her team on a national to global scale. Ebokosia is also a published author and freelance writer. Her first publication was with a poem entitled, '..."New Chapter,' in the anthology, '..."Journeys,' by Editors Sharon Derdian & Micheal Perala, and published by Iliad Press at age 14. These achievements were shortly followed up with her performances at the legendary Apollo Theater and the self-publication of her book, '..."Raindrops of Life' at age 19, which also led to the development of her nonprofit, The Gem Project, Inc.
