Connie Deford
What do you do after retiring as a municipal clerk? Start another career as a professional registered parliamentarian. That's at least one possibility, and the path that Connie Deford chose.
Connie devoted 14 years of service to the National Association of Parliamentarians as a director, treasurer, vice-president, and ultimately the national president. Along the way, she served as educational resources chairman and, along with her committees, was responsible for creating and writing various books regarding parliamentary procedure.
She serves clients as a bylaws consultant, convention parliamentarian, professional presider, and workshop presenter. Her background in municipal government provided her with much experience and expertise in municipal meetings and their minutes.
Connie is active in her community, serving as the secretary for the Bay City Morning Rotary Club.
She enjoys reading and her "bucket list" includes visiting every state--and she's getting closer. Only seven states remain to be visited.
Her personal philosophy is to dwell in possibilities -- always see the possibilities -- for they are always there. Her motto is "Have Gavel, Will Travel!"
