cheryl harrivel
Cheryl believes in the power of the individual. Find out what you love, live it, learn it and you will find fulfillment. Being good at something doesn't mean you want to do it the rest of your life. I learned this after leaving a successful career to stay at home and care for my Autistic son. I've spent the last ten years learning it and living it and with the aide of my husband, therapists and other professionals, together we helped my son grow into the young man he is today. I also returned to my passions of painting, designing and decorating my home. My husband and I love reworking spaces, moving walls, changing the function of a room. I have decorated for many friends over the last 25 years and have remodeled three homes. I have been told by so many (including contractors), that I should do this professionally. What I have discovered is that while I love doing it, I have always wanted to write about the things I know and share my ideas. I still care for my son at home which is the most important thing in my life. Writing allows me the opportunity to do what I love and share it with others while still being there for him. I also enjoy working out daily and reading.
