Presently regrouping subsequent to the death of Luella Bassett, a beloved friend of many people in the Detroit area, as well as a powerful figure in the literary world. She helped myself and many of the people in my family, as well as most of the people I am acquainted with - she was a great lady who tried to be a friend to everyone. Several of us are working on a poetry, anecdote, and recipe chapbook to commemorate her life, love for the community, and passion for peace.
