I've been a sports addict since the age of three, when I would spend every Sunday (life without cable was tough) watching San Diego Padres games and cheering on our portly right-fielder Tony Gwynn, the most unsexy superstar in the history of American sports. Fast-forward twenty years to me rushing home from class at UCLA to watch the 4 pm showing of "Stump the Schwab" and dreaming of one day toppling the Schwab from his chubby, smug throne. Alas, the show was discontinued.
