Although I was born and raised in Reading, Massachusetts, I have resided in Maine for the past 42 years. I may consider myself a "Mainer", but the natives know better. Only after 3 generations can one be considered a native, so I must be content with being from "away" and try not to let my true heritage out in the open.
I married the love of my life at the young age of 21 and we have had 44 wonderful years since.
Raising 4 boys was a challenge but that also helped get us involved in the community. I particularly enjoyed my years as Scoutmaster of our local troop and developed a love of camping, travel, hiking, and the outdoors while helping the Scouts develop their own skills.
Residing on a lake in Central Maine, we have lots of opportunities to view "climate change" first hand. Like they say up here, "if you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes".
