"Life is the open road"
Influenced by life, love and the pursuit of the perfect song is what best describes my passion. I've been a musician and story teller for most of my life but seriously began writing and performing as a student in high school. There, I honed my chops in creative writing, music theory, choir and performing in 80'²s hair metal bands. All the while keeping to one thing: writing songs that cross barriers and mean something. As a result, I've been fortunate share my music with audiences from small clubs and fairs to major concert venues.
I've had the opportunity to perform as part of the opening act for artists as diverse as three time Grammy nominee Jamie O'Neal, American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken and Mercury Nashville recording artist Julie Roberts.
I've recently discovered a more serious writing muse within myself and have been putting pen to paper as the mood strikes (which seems to be more and more frequently). I tend to write about a lot of different topics but get my biggest joy in getting to re-live the experiences I've had growing up in a small town and poking fun at myself. To me, it's cathartic.
