Karen Baase

I was born in 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa. When I was five, my mother remarried and I went to live on a farm. My new dad was a poor farmer, having only 80 acres which was hardly enough to sustain us. My mother was a city girl so she finally convinced my dad to move back to the "big city". I stayed in Des Moines until I retired after working 50 years in the real estate lending industry. I now live in Texas. Even though we didn't have much money when I was growing up, I still have fond memories of those days on the farm.
