I have been a nurse for over 20 years. For 10 of those years I had the honor of working with patients who were having to deal with death and dying. This particular job, while heartbreaking, gave me the gift of being able to focus on what is truly important in life.
I am a Marketplace Approved Writer for Helium. I had the privilege of being awarded a bronze badge and a silver badge for creative writing on Helium and three of my articles have been featured on the Helium home page.
I also had the honor of having four articles featured on the Yahoo! Voices Health and Wellness home page.
I am a fan of fitness and have completed 10 marathons and 2 triathlons. I practice several martial arts and have a black belt in karate.
