R. L. Elliott
I am a college student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I was raised on a farm in rural N.C., and at age 18 I enrolled in the United States Marine Corps where I served five years as a jet engine mechanic. I have traveled all of the U.S. and most of the Pacific region down to Australia. I have decided to begin writing articles of interest and experience in hopes that someone may benefit from them in some way. My father is an Alaskan Eskimo, and my mother is a retired school teacher who spent her entire career in the villages of Alaska and Canada. I enjoy fishing, boating, jet skis, motorcycling, and just about anything else that has an engine attached to it. I love the beach and the surrounding islands of North Carolina, and ,to me, being on the water is the closest to heaven you will ever find on Earth. I hope you enjoy my articles, and thanks for reading.

My Red GMC - The Best Truck Known to ManSure, the paint has seen better days, the headlight could use some love (or replacement), and there are squeaks and squeals that seem to show up, but it has never died on me and left me with expensive repairs. It has taken all of my abuse but keeps going.
