I can talk about sports all day long, and sometimes I do, just ask my wife. I'm a fan of the bay area teams on the east side of the bay. I know all there is to know about those teams from SF, but I don't have to like them.

  • Janikowski, Raiders Kick it Old School in Win Over Chicago
On a day when most of the major playmakers were kept off the field due to injury, the Raiders turned to their longest tenured first round draft choice, and he came through big time. Seabass booted six through the uprights leading them to victory 25-20.
  • Packers Stomp on Lions, as Suh Stomps on Players
Tim Tebow gets a lot of attention due to his religious beliefs, and some people have taken to call him "Jesus". I, however believe that the "Holy One" already exists on earth, and that God is known by the name of Aaron Rodgers.
  • Cowboys Win in Another Wild Thanksgiving Day Game with Dolphins
One of the most exciting games I remember seeing on Thanksgiving was the Cowboys and Dolphins in the snow and the Leon Lett debacle. That was in 1993. Fast forward 18 years and they had another finish that ended with a field goal.
  • 49ers Sacked by Ravens,Lose the Har-bowl
The San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens are arguably the best defenses in the NFL right now. In last night's Raven's victory, the teams combined for nine total sacks. Unfortunately for the Niners, they didn't register any of them.
  • 49ers Dominant Again in Win Over Arizona
Everyone had said that Alex Smith was finished in San Francisco and that he should try moving on and to jump start his career elsewhere. Jim Harbaugh had no such thoughts. Something he saw in Smith inspired him to lure him back for one more year.
  • Raiders Beat Vikings and Become Road Warriors
Forrest Gump would have liked this game, as you never knew what you'd get. The Oakland Raiders came away with the victory, but they worked far too hard to get it. Shooting themselves in the foot time and again, but managed to survive even themselves.
  • Season 2: Love & Hip Hop the Remix
If you know anything about hip hop, then you almost surely have heard of the Diplomats, Dipset for short. Founded by Cam'ron and Jim Jones in 1997, they also had Freeky Zeeky and two years later would add Julez Santana to the roster.
  • Tebow Does Copperfield Impression, Wins Again
What do you get when your quarterback completes zero passes in the first half and two passes total for the game, and your top two running backs go down with injury before the end of the first quarter? If you're Tim Tebow you get a win.
  • Eli's Comeback Thwarted by Niner's D
On the road for the second week in a row, the New York Giants last minute comeback effort stalled when Eli finally ran out of juice. Defensive end Justin Smith's batted pass ended the drive, and gave the 49ers anotther victory to push them to 8-1.
  • Carson Palmer's Demise is Greatly Exaggerated
As soon as news broke that the Oakland Raiders traded two top draft picks for "retired" Cincinnatti quarterback Carson Palmer some so called pundits blasted the Raiders as foolish, misguided, or even dumb. It would seem Hue Jackson knows more than you.
  • Raiders Roll Over Chargers and Take First Place
For all the naysayers who thought Carson Palmer was finished as a premier quarterback in the NFL, you got a wake up call Thursday night. It was a three man rodeo as Palmer, Michael Bush, and rookie Denarius Moore had their way with San Diego's defense.

Mothers, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, kids, and anyone else that doesn't care much for watching 300 pound men try to rip each others heads off, this is not good news for you. Starting tomorrow night, the NFL will now be on three days of the week.
  • Top 5 Fantasy Players of the Week
Each league sets up their scoring systems differently. Some use the default rules, while others take it to the extreme with their settings. My favorite league uses .5 ppr, .25 p/carry & TD are worth 6. We also play IDP's so I'll list a top D as well.
  • Best Replacement RB in the League
This year Arian Foster and his backup Ben Tate are both on pace for 1000 yard seasons. Tate had the luxery of starting a game, and relieving Foster on a couple of occassions to amass that total. However, he is not the best backup in the game.
  • SF 49ers Having Tons of Fun, and Winning
For anyone that has ever set foot in any type of competitive battle knows exactly how much fun winning can be. Don't tell that to Jim Harbaugh and the San Francisco 49ers though, because winning doesn't seem to be enough for them. They want more fun.

You looked over your roster as soon as you get home, after thurough examination of all the teams, it's obvious that your team is loaded. You got all the right guys, and at all the right prices. You didn't reach, and have plenty of "upside" guys.
  • Dealing with Despair as a Fan of the National Football League
The fan's of the "Dog Pound" are not going to be used in the discussion today. They are a sorrowful bunch, who have seen more than their fair share of misery over the years. Just living life in Cleveland can be brutal, and I didn't even mention LeBron
  • Top 5 Draft Picks at Each Position, If Re-Drafting Today
Each year after the draft each league has at least one guy that thinks they have drafted the best, most unbeatable team to ever grace a sheet of 3 ring binder paper. By midseason, it's always a different story, as the flukes of September are long gone.
  • 5 Fantasy Football Players that Will Perform Better Than Expected This Week
First it was Peyton Manning, then Jamal Charles, and now Kenny Britt. It seems that a fantasy star is being taken off the availability list every week. I'm sure that only more of that can be expected in the coming weeks, and for the rest of the season.
  • Recap of the Cowboys MNF Victory Over the Redskins

  • 5 Things to Look for with the Oakland Raiders in 2011
It's about one of the most difficult jobs in all of pro sports fandom, being a fan of the Oakland Raiders. In their height in the 70's and 80's it was easy to be a fan, but these days that's not quite the case.
  • Competitive Fantasy Sports Leagues, Redundant?
Your stunning run begins with 6 games remaining on the regular season schedule. 5 wins in a row, and you are able to sneak into the final playoff spot. I ask why? Was I really doing that much better, or were my "competitors" no longer competing.
