Jared Bowie

Greetings readers. My name is Jared Bowie. Currently I am an 18 senior in high school living with my sister. For the majority of my life I have been in foster care; however, upon reaching 18 I decided to finish high school living with my sister. We have a little apartment here in Jackson, and I attend Murrah High School. Growing up in foster care gives one quite the perspective of life, and a certain method of thinking that others find to be impossible. For example: a friend of mine and I were talking about break-ups and I told him they never bother me because I'm used to disappointments; however, I do not let that stop me from seeing the best in people. I am aware at how cruel and beautiful life can be.During my youth I struggled with my sexuality I often found myself writing for no reason. This peculiar habit of mine grew into poetry, and short stories: a way for me to express my emotions and thoughts. Currently I have overcome some of my past demons, and I came out to my family. I also feel comfortable telling people I am gay. I also overcame obesity, and many other tribulations. I wish to share my experiences so that perhaps I can help someone else. So readers and potential fans I hope you find my stories, poems, and writing stimulating and motivating.
