Adrienne Bradshaw Farmer

A writer and a songwriter of lyrics and melody since 2002, I have had over 100 songs spanning 10 muical genres produced and recorded by regionally known professional vocalists and world class studio musicians. Presently I have one published and am shopping these for licensing contracts. I just finished writing a non-fiction book "The Reluctant Dog Lover" as I have become a Texan over the past 25 years if not by birth, by marriage to a Southwestern man who enjoys bird hunting. Berea, Ohio is my home town - I spent all of my school years in the Lakewood and Cleveland area, attended college in Washington, D.C. and spent ten years living and traveling out of Chicago. Most of my career was spent in sales, marketing and sales and operational management for various nationally known companies. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States - mostly as a business traveler - and, after moving to Texas, I traveled internationally as an Import/Export broker for consumer products. My husband, the dogs, the birds and I make our home in Dallas, Texas.

I believe that writing, many times, evolves from a strong desire to express life's emotion, relate life experiences and comment on the actions of leaders and others in our world as they effect us. Two other books I have written "The Book of Lyrics" and "For My Brother" are primarily lyrical content and poetry based.

  • September 11: The Death of Innocence at Home, Abroad
September 11th - On that day in 2001 as I watched from afar, with deep grief and sorrow, the pain I felt for all the human suffering inspired a writer somewhere within to turn emotion into words. To me, a frequent traveler, 9/11 was the death of innocence.
  • The Bareboat Charter from Hell
