Born and raised in southeast Virginia (Petersburg-city- & Prince George County), attended public school except for one year at St. James Catholic School, at age 10 my family moved from Petersburg to an old family-owned farmhouse in Prince George county, attended a Baptist church until age 12 then my family no longer attended any church. At age 18 I spent the summer in Escondido, Ca. (near San Diego) then attended Richard Bland Community College as a Fine Arts major, married my high school sweetheart at age 20 in the Methodist church her family attended, my son was born I was 23 years old, I divorced at age 26, gained custody of my son when I was 30 years old and at the same time enrolled part-time at Virginia Commonwealth University first in Archetectural Studies then switched major to Religious Studies and minored in the Creative Writing program.
