Elizabeth Dwyer Sandlin

Elizabeth has been acting, singing and writing since she was old enough to be aware that such things existed. She has performed in Minneapolis, Seattle, Los Angeles, and her present home of Albuquerque, NM.

After completing her first full length screenplay, The Other Woman, Elizabeth chose to focus on furthering her skills as a director. Her feature length directing debut was made on the stage at the University of New Mexico's Experimental Theater in October 2007. From here Elizabeth embarked on the journey of producing and directing the original work Genesis: Lead Me Home by Shannon Rogers in 2009. She is currently working on her first novel, set in early 20th century Chicago.

In other areas of writing, Elizabeth has also worked in Arts Administration and Promotions. Most recently, she has worked with Duke City Repertory Theatre as a liaison between company members, the greater Albuquerque/Santa Fe community, and various New Mexico media outlets. Elizabeth's contributions to the theatre include working as a writer and copy editor, as well as helping to create and distribute their promotional materials.

While the arts are her first love, Elizabeth is also keenly interested in philanthropy, social justice, and education. She has worked with various non-profits both professionally and as a volunteer to help improve the quality of life for people around the globe. Elizabeth attended the UN's 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing, China in 1995, and has been working to support human rights efforts ever since.

Elizabeth has also worked as an educator in the field of reading skills and enrichment. With a lifelong love of reading, and an unshakable belief that reading is an essential facet of expanding your knowledge and experiences, Elizabeth was proud to contribute to the reading development of both children and adult students.

Spanish is also an important part of Elizabeth's experience. She is proficient in reading, writing and speaking Spanish.
