Sara McKinniss
In the 140 character instant information world we live in, meaningful and effective communication is key. Sara McKinniss is a Columbus-based public relations and marketing professional who grew up during the dot-com boom and launch of social media, immersing herself in it for nearly a decade. Currently, she is the Marketing Manager for ODW Logistics, Inc, a full-service, third-party supply chain solutions company. She manages the marketing and public relations strategies for the growing operation in Southern California, Great Lakes and Central Ohio regions.
Despite membership in the “Millenial Generation,” McKinniss maintained focus on her career during and after college. Prior to her current position, she was a Regional Sales Specialist for Delaware-based AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and was an Account Manager for Wilt Public Relations in Springfield, Ohio. As a student, McKinniss interned with: Condé Nast Publications in New York, NY, Avetec in Springfield, OH and the Miami Valley Health Improvement Council in Dayton, OH.
She is founder/editor of YoungProfashionable.com, an emerging online blog designed to empower young professionals to be their personal best at work and in life. McKinniss will launch an eBook based on the blog in 2012 through a partnership with Amazon.com. She was a freelance fashion and style writer for the Dayton City Paper, Yahoo! and other websites before returning to marketing full-time.
