His book, "Battlefields and Blessings; Stories of Faith and Courage from the Civil War," (AMG Publishers, Chattanooga TN)., was nominated for the Golden Medallion Award of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association in 2006. He has had favorable reviews from The Washington Post, Amazon.com, and many internet websites. He was interviewed by nationally syndicated radio host, Janet Parshall, on Janet Parshall's America, Washington, D.C. He was interviewed by The Moody Radio Network for a narrated series on the Civil War. Terry's book has become popular with the soldiers of our Armed Forces. It is recommended reading at Fort Bragg, N.C. In 2007, Country music
singer and friend Mark Wills took several cases of Terry's book to Iraq to give our soldiers.
Terry presently resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee with his wife Jill. He has three children Ashley Welborn, Jonathan & Cortney Tuley and two grandchildren, Gracie & Eli Welborn
