Sandra Phillips

Sandra Phillips is a Board Certified Education Advocate having completed the National Special Education Advocacy Institute's Special Education Advocacy Training Program. Additionally, she holds a B.A. in Administration of Justice with a Business Minor earned from The Pennsylvania State University. She also has a Certificate in Paralegal Education from Villanova University's A.B.A. approved program. She began working in the legal field in 1991 and has an extensive legal writing and research background.

Sandra's personal experiences navigating the complexities of the education system in an attempt to obtain services for one of her sons, in combination with her legal training and experience, peaked her interest in advocating for students with special needs. She enjoys assisting parents seeking to obtain services that are child specific, while at that the same time educating parents on how to successfully advocate for their own family. She enjoys freelance writing on this topic as well as others, but particularly in the area of youth sports.

Youth sports is a family passion. She and her husband, who has been a teacher and High School Baseball & Football Coach for over 23 years, ran a summer youth football camp for 10 years. Their combined experiences in the world of youth sports are a source of writing inspiration for Sandra.
