As a stay at home wife and mom of 2 boys (8 and 9 years old) I enjoy writing. I graduated from DePauw University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies. I have also worked in my children’s school as a teacher’s aide and lunchroom supervisor. I served 2 years on the PTO as the secretary as well. I am around children all of the time and I love children’s books. I hope to share my thought and experiences with children all over the world. I grew up in Detroit, MI and graduated from Cass Technical High School. As an African American woman living in the metro Detroit (suburbs) I would love to write more books that relate to African American children. As a child I remember Black History month being the only time I read books that related to our culture.
