Darrell Bushnell
Amy and Darrell retired to Nicaragua in 2006 after extensively researching retirement locations. They have traveled around the world but narrowed their search to Central and South America since retiring early required a lower cost of living. Amy now has an art gallery and studio in Granada though is heavily involved in community activities. Her last 20 years in the states were in real estate. Darrell comes from a corporate management background and now dabbles in real estate, helps several foundations, writes some articles and writes newsletters for various organizations. Though officially retired, they are more active than ever. They have also set up a website to help other expats considering moving to Nicaragua. www.nicaragua-guide.com
